About Grand Olympics:
Grand Olympics Chorus is located on the Olympic Peninsula. We sing a variety of songs from Gershwin to Barbershop classics.  The talented women in the chapter come from diverse backgrounds and live in Port Angeles, Port Townsend, and Sequim. We sing at many local functions and at an annual show; this year it will be held October 4-5, 2008.

Grand Olympics is very pleased and proud to introduce our new Director, Judie Sharpe! Judie is a transplant from Border Lakes Region 2, and a past member and Assistant Director of the Shoreline Sound Chorus (Royal Oak, MI).

Judie has 38 years of experience as a music educator and her piano and organ students have won many state championships. In 2000, Sandstone Quartet, her high school girl’s quartet, won the Sweet Adelines Young Women In Harmony (YWIH) International Championship, and Judie was presented with the Sweet Adelines/MENC International Teacher of the Year Award. Judie also served as the Regional Coordinator of the Young Women In Harmony program for Region 2.

Judie has also directed a men’s barbershop chorus and competed with Pacific Sound Chorus in Las Vegas in 2006. We feel so lucky to have her and look forward to having you get to know her, too.
